Mashed Potato Grilled Sandwich Recipe

Keeping the fundamentals of getting as many carbs into the system in the morning for a hectic day, this Mashed potato grilled sandwich is the ideal breakfast.

Playing along with ingredients in a sandwich is what I like doing. Here is a mildly spiced sandwich to give energy and the right flavour for a lovely start to the day.

Another simple sandwich but heavy and filling.

Mashed Potato Grilled Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of Brown bread
  • 3 medium sized potatoes boiled and roughly mashed
  • 1 small finely chopped green chilli
  • 1 small finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic finely chopped
  • 1 tsp of Olive Oil
  • Butter as required
  • Ground Black pepper straight from the mill
  • Mixed Herbs

Instructions

Boil the potatoes in a pressure cooker.

Peel the potatoes and roughly mash them.

Mix the onions, chillies and garlic into the potatoes.

Pour the olive oil on the mixture.

Mix well

Sprinkle some black pepper powder and mixed herbs

Butter 2 slices, place some mixture on the slices, close it with another slice and Grill

Notes

Serve it with Ketchup or mint mayonnaise.
